to look after orphans and widows in their distress
— James 1:27

Our vision is to develop a children's village in Barlastone, just outside of Lusaka. It will include 14 children's homes, a church, a school (pre-school through high school), and medical clinic. The residences themselves will function as individual family-units with each comprised of 12 youngsters cared for by a widowed House Mother and Auntie. When fully completed, Breath of Heaven Children's Village will provide shelter and well-rounded care for 168 underprivileged kids.

Although each home is a family unit, The Village provides an extended family model where the children are not isolated but also connected with other households. This enables them to have a sense of a larger family with many bothers and sisters.
