Kids Receive New Shoes

I n January, Pastor Michael Devine and I, along with Bishop Peter Ndhlovu and his wife Hilda, brought tennis shoes to thirty-three very appreciative orphans. The children had only flip-flop sandals, and for most, this was their first pair of new shoes. They were all so excited to receive their gift! They hung onto them like they were pure gold. These pictures are of one of the house mothers, Esnot, making lunch and Hilda, Bishop Peter’s wife, giving out the shoes.
What a blessing it was for us to give these gifts on behalf of the members of Emmanuel Christian Fellowship and the children’s sponsors! As one young orphan named Lazarus said, “You have put a big smile on my face!”
