Kids Receive New Shoes 02/08/2008
![]() Narrative by Pastor Ted Lawler, Director, Breath of Heaven Childrens Ministries In January, Pastor Michael Devine and I, along with Bishop Peter Ndhlovu and his wife Hilda, brought tennis shoes to thirty-three very appreciative orphans. The children had only flip-flop sandals, and for most, this was their first pair of new shoes. They were all so excited to receive their gift! They hung onto them like they were pure gold. These pictures are of one of the house mothers, Esnot, making lunch and Hilda, Bishop Peter’s wife, giving out the shoes. What a blessing it was for us to give these gifts on behalf of the members of Emmanuel Christian Fellowship and the children’s sponsors! As one young orphan named Lazarus said, “You have put a big smile on my face!” Add Comment Collins Needs Your Help! 02/01/2008
![]() by Pastor Ted Lawler, Director, Breath of Heaven Childrens Ministries During my visit in January, little Collins came wandering in from the neighborhood around Bishop Peter’s church seeking food. A few months earlier his mother and father had both died of AIDS. Collins and his sister, Norah, live with their grandmother, but she is unable to care for them. My heart was broken. Collins and Norah are now on our waiting list for the next home to be built. I am praying that 350 people will give $100 each to help us build a home for them and 10 other children. With your help, little Collins and Norah can have a home. You can give the gift in one lump sum or send some each month. But please help us build a home for them!! |
